Christopher Cheyer

Christopher Cheyer, a native of Manchester, Connecticut, is a sophomore studying biochemistry and premed at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. The committee awarded him $2,000.

An active modeler since age seven, Christopher has competed and finished highly at local, regional, and national contests. His modeling interests include Pattern, Pylon Racing, and Radio Control Helicopter events. He has dedicated many hours to teaching others how to fly models and has flown in air show performances for Boy Scouts, public schools and an abused child program.

He is a graduate of Manchester High School, finishing in the top two percent of his class of nearly 600 students. During high school, he tutored many of his fellow classmates in mathematics.

Christopher has provided time and assistance to numerous charities including the Cleveland Multiple Sclerosis Walkathon and canned food drives for the needy. He is a founding father of Sigma Nu fraternity at his university. He also has been active in freshman assistance programs at Case Western.
