Ernest S. Kratzet, District VII Contest Board member, 482 St. Clair, Grosse Pointe 30, Michigan. Ernie, age 30, married, 1 child, is a cemetery executive but we’ll bet he flies some mighty lively Radio Control models. He started building models in 1935 (when he was 10) with a 10-cent solid scale model.

Ernie is the founder and Senior Advisor of the very successful Radio Control Club of Detroit. In 1952, he was club president. He has directed various local and regional Radio Control contests and he was Radio Control event director at the 1954 National Championship Meet, doing a wonderful job considering he was seriously handicapped by a shortage of flying time.
