Became Associate Editor at Flying Models in November 1982. Became Editor in 1996, and retired from that role in 2014.
Per a letter from Eric Boehm included in Frank’s Model Aviation Hall of Fame application, dated February 20, 2014:
“Mr. Fanelli’s extraordinary contribution to the model aviation community has spanned a lifetime of unselfish and tireless devotion. As a contributor, Associate Editor, and ultimately Editor of Flying Models magazine for a combined 31 years he has kept alive the segments of the hobby that are at the very root of all our pursuits.”
