Jeffrey Tate, of Nashua, New Hampshire, is attending Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where he plans a major in Pharmacy. Jeffrey has been awarded $4,000. His high school career was very successful, and he was named to the National Honor Society for three consecutive years.

A keen student, he was in the Math Club, the Foreign Language Club, and also tutored Algebra I and II, Trigonometry, and French for the National Honor Society. Other activities included band treasurer for four years, intramural basketball, the American Legion– sponsored Boy’s State Program and the American Computer Science League. Jeff was listed in the 1985-1986 Who’s Who Among American High School Students.

He is a competitive model airplane flier, and belongs to the Southern New Hampshire RC Club. His father sparked his interest in Radio Control, and together they have built, repaired, and flown aircraft in many contests and fun-fly events. Jeff has been a good worker at club auctions and the annual Pattern contest, and also enjoys the annual floatplane event held at Point Sebago in Maine. If you keep your old issues of Model Aviation, check out page 92 of the August 1985 edition where you will find Jeff at age 15, smiling with his fourth-place award gift certificate.
