Jill Peck of San Diego, California entered the University of California, Los Angeles in September 1980 where she will major in Graphic Arts. With a full schedule of High School activities and community involvement, Jill also found time to be a very active modeler, entering national and international (by proxy) contests. During her years of building and flying Peanut Scale models she gained 15 first place trophies, eight second place awards and numerous third places. As an active member of the Academy with involvement in the Scale Staffel and the San Diego Orbiteers, Jill was named Member of the Year. A careful and skilled builder, she constructs many demonstration models as well as building and testing new kits. Her participation in model aviation since the age of eight has helped this hard working young woman develop patience, confidence, and a crusading spirit to tell the world about model aviation.
