District 2 Candidates
N.H. (Hank) Likes, Toms River, NJ, is one of our most active Associate VPs, known for his ability to lead and organize modelers. He has been an energetic Contest Director for over eight years and served as a model club president for two years. Hank is an active and competitive modeler, participating in most all aspects of modeling. During his 20-year service career with the Navy as a Meteorologist, he visited and flew with many model club organizations throughout the Pacific area, England, and Europe. This has given him a rare experience in communication and needs among clubs and modelers throughout the world. He has worked in the model industry as a radio, engine, and model service manager for nearly two years, giving him a manufacturer’s view of modelers’ needs.
Hank’s primary objective as VP will be to give recognition to the average modeler and club organization. He promotes the idea of getting down to the basics of modeling and putting the fun and spirit back in model aviation. Hank would be honored to join the AMA Council representing District II.
