Joined AMA in 1957 and active in Southeast Virginia Radio Control group 1955-1957. Since then, member of New England R/C Modelers. Past President NER/CM 1959 and 1960; since then, member of board of directors. Competed in numerous Class I contests as well as manager and/or officiated in five major New England Championship contests. Has authored numerous articles on equipment developed expressly for the rudder class of model and flyer. Is sponsoring junior Radio Control modeling by working closely with junior flyers in radio and model construction.
